I've always been fascinated with moving pictures. I used to try to make movies with my parents' super-8 movie camera, but film and developing were too expensive for my budget. Analog video was cheaper, but hard to edit without expensive equipment. Digital video has opened doors for me that would never have been in reach otherwise.

Pants An earlier "conceptual" video; the subject views himself in the mirror and decides to change his pants while voices discuss metaphysical possibilities on a radio call-in show.

(untitled) To create this video without a computer or any sophisticated video equipment I set up a video camera on a tripod, a slide projector, an 8 mm movie projector, and asssorted lights. I recorded a series or projections of home movies and art slides onto my undergrad artwork.
