    Hot Cocoa

I love to drink hot cocoa, the taste is so divine
My favorite time to drink it, is at Christmas time
A pack of chocolate powder, mixed with hot warm milk
Take a spoon, stir it up, it rolls over your tongue like silk

Add some whipped cream, foaming and light
Or some tiny marshmellows, fluffy and white
In my favorite Santa mug--billows clouds of steam
I could drink it day and night, even in my dreams

I love to drink hot cocoa, after I go outside and play
It warms my belly up, on a cold and snowy day
I like to build snowmen and make balls of snow
But I really like it best, when Mom makes hot cocoa

I love to drink hot cocoa, when we go to the Christmas
    farm
And pick out a Christmas tree, it keeps my tummy warm
When we walk around the lot, with all the twinkling lights
One hand holds my cocoa, the other holds Mommy's tight
My favorites are the clear ones, that sparkle and blink
I imagine they are tiny, marshmellows in my drink

I love to drink hot cocoa, when we trim the Christmas tree
And sing carols all the while, what fun it is for me
Then Daddy dims the lights, and the twinkle lights glow
And we all sit by the fire, and drink our hot cocoa

I love to drink hot cocoa, and help mommy roll the dough
When she's baking gingermen, in a tidy row
She lets me make the eyes, with icing nice and sweet
And when they're done, I have hot cocoa--with a cookie treat

I love to drink hot cocoa, when I wait in line to see
Jolly ole' St. Nicholas--and sit upon his knee
He laughs with a, "HO! HO! HO!, have you been good
    all year?"
Then I climb upon his knee, and whisper in his ear
"Santa, I've been very good, I've made all A's and B's
I'd like some toys, a new bike,---OH! and more hot cocoa please"

I love to drink hot cocoa, when I wait on Christmas night
For Santa and his reindeer, on their magical flight
As he travels in his sleigh, through the fog and the snow
Instead of cookies, I'll leave him some hot cocoa

I love to drink hot cocoa, on Christmas day
After I've opened all my presents, and my cousins come to
    play
Among the wrapping and ribbons, --and the papers I see
A great big box of hot cocoa, that Santa left just for me.
