 Summer's end is drawing near-------- Farewell, my warm sunshine Autumn days are almost here And apple pickin' time The days fleeting, pass us by Like the sands of time-------- As autumn rapidly, draws nigh The zephyr rings her chime Soon, shall you be a memory Like other days of yore-------- Farewell, my sweet honeybee Farewell, thy sandy shore The stir of autumn breezes, flow As summer slowly fades---- Her trees all now radiantly glow That once was lush with shade Farewell, maiden bright and fair Farewell my sweet sunshine Farewell, thy flaxen golden hair Farewell sweet summertime.
