How Do You Know When It's Halloween

When the moon is full and the jack o' lanterns glare
    Heeds a warning to beware
When witches on switches cackle and scream
That's how you know when its Halloween

When out of darkness eyes appear
And you cant shake a feeling- that's queer
When shadows tell ---of things foreseen
That's how you know when its Halloween

When a black cat leaps at you, in the dead of night
Sending shivers and quivers-- up your spine in fright
When things that go bump, cant be seen
That's how you know when its Halloween

When the banshees yell, awakes the dead
And the sliver of the moon, drips blood red
On the night when two worlds-- are in between
That's how you know when its Halloween

When the dead arise out of their tombs
And witches fly into the night on brooms
And the werewolves howl, is a deafening scream
That's how you know when its Halloween

When the night wind whispers a mournful moan
And spirits and ghosts are free to roam
When things dont appear to be, as they seem
    This my friend, is Halloween
