Autumn In Ohio

    Autumn In Ohio

An indian summer bonfire chants --a scarlet flame, on an apple cider eve
As the spice of warm cinnamon- dance on winds, waltzing with the leaves
And rich tapestries drape a September pond, reflecting her golden hues
As the equinox slips in---bidding summer adieu

Country roads display a pallet of colors, radiant in gown
And myriads of butterflies flutter and fall, carpeting the ground
Morning fog billows in and out-- of parched bails of hay
Ruffling cattails in the wind, as they tussle and sway

Bristling tangled shocks of corn mother nature waves
To the once fertile fields, now barren graves
While pumpkins are ready for harvest, to be made
    into pies
And the birds prepare to take flight, off to southern skies

A magestic splendor of God's artwork---a time when
    the earth glows
And the most beautiful scene that paints my mind--
    Autumn in Ohio.
