The aim of Globalise Resistance is to bring together all of those disparate groups who are repelled by a world where global corporate power contrasts starvation and misery for the many with opulence and obscene wealth for the few.
In 'Globalisation' we have a phenomenon that is presented the world over as irresistible. In the words of governments and corporations the world over, globalisation has variously heralded the 'end of history', the end of politics and various other platitudes assuring us that the world could not change from their neo-liberal version as its 'natural' state.
In Seattle and Genoa people like ourselves put a torch to this tissue of lies and once again we saw how to organise and resist. In response to their 'irresistible' march of globalisation we call for a global resistance where we think globally and act locally.
