| Current News |
| We are currently in the process of organising a workshop that will take place at Chesterton High School. Unfortunately due to the recent weather conditions this event was cancelled, but hopefully we will be able to go back to Chesterton in the near future. We intend to give the students an insight into University life by showing them that they can get involved in many different activities including dance! We are hopefully going to do a demonstration for them and also teach them a small piece of modern dance. We are also organising an all day workshop at Keele Primary School, with dances centered around a theme that the children can relate to. If you are interested in getting involved in this then please let us know by email. |
| Future and Past Events |
| The International Extravaganza is an event that takes place once a year at the Student's Union. The societies all take part and perform with either a dance, song, music etc. Last year the Dance Society opened the show with a stunning dance to Queen, and te proceeded to perform various types of dances throughout the show. This year we will be taking part in the International Extravaganza which will take place sometime in February. |
| The talent show takes place in term 3 of the academic year at keele. Anyone can take part but the dance society like to appear and steal the show. We will be again getting involved this year, if you are interested then please conact us via email when we have announced what we are planning to do closer to the time. |
| At the end of last year the dance society performed in the Potteries centre in Hanley to raise money for he NSPCC. It was an extremely successful event and the dance society raised lots of money for the NSPCC. |
