TO WORK WITH SPIRIT!

HERE ARE SOME OF MY THOUGHTS ON SPIRITUALISM
I MUST EMPHASISE THAT THESE ARE MY THOUGHTS. I DO NOT PUT THEM FORWARD AS BEING THE TRUTH.
IT IS UP TO YOU TO DECIDE IF THEY FEEL RIGHT OR WRONG TO YOU AND THEN ACCEPT OR REJECT THEM.
This life we currently lead is but a prelude to our real life that we return to when at the death of our earthly body, we pass into the world of spirit.
It could be considered that this life is the equivalent of going to school. At school we prepare ourselves for the rest of our life, and as such this earthly life follows the same pattern.
I am becoming worried about the trend that many Spiritualists are embracing some of the so-called 'NEW-AGE' activities. These are begining to trivialise Spiritualism and are doing nothing to increase the public's awareness of Spirit. It is almost a return to the days of the circus sideshow.
The danger is that peoples awareness of Spirit and their ability to progress spiritually, is being diluted and damaged, by the seeking of entertainment rather than Spiritual Knowledge. Also the 'mediums' who provide this entertainment, and who appear to be seeking financial gain, must surely damage their own spirituality. And they should know this better than others.
Although I do not like the idea of these 'Psychic Fairs' and the materialistic format of them, I do sometimes wonder if amongst all the harm they may cause, there is the odd occasion when they do perform a service for good.
I have only attended one of these events, and that was before I was found by Spirit. I was gradually being directed towards Spiritualism ( although at the time I was not fully aware of this) and in an attempt to find out what I was letting myself in for prior to attending a Spiritualist church, I went along to a Psychic Fair near to home. The medium I saw gave me a reading, read the Tarot cards etc. The significant thing was that she proved that my mother has survived the physical death. The medium then suggested to me that if I wanted to find out more I should find a Spiritualist church. I feel that in this way she performed a good service for Spirit and God.
As with everything in this life, we must find the correct balance. Someone who is over zealous on the Spiritual side can do as much damage to themselves and others as can the overly materialistic person.
