Personal Responsibility.
This is my interpretation of our Fifth Priciple.
God, our Father, our Creator, has given us Free Will. It is up to us to live our lives the way we see fit. We have been given guidelines throughout the ages, but at the end of the day we choose the course we want to take. Having free will means that we do not have to do anything anyone tells us she should or should not do. Therefore we are responsible for that which we do. We CANNOT shift the blame onto others. If we do something that someone else tells us to do, who is responsible? If you say that the other person is for telling to do something, then where is your free will? You used your free will by allowing that person to affect your life, therefore YOU are responsible.
Likewise, if we have free will, how can one person who lived in our deep and distant past, be responsible for our survival of the death of our physical body?
He can't, but he did act as a guide for us. An example of how we could achieve a higher level of Spirituality. We are responsible for what happens after the transition we call death. It is the way we live our lives and the degree of Spirituality that we attain that determines how our soul progresses in the next world.
We all survive death, but the level of our Spirituality will determine where in the World of Spirit we will be located. The higher our Spirituality the lighter and finer will be our home. The lower our level, then the darker and coarser. And at the end of the day it is our Personal Responsibility that will determine our level of Spirituality, not what or who we believe in, but what WE do or Don't do.
What could be more fairer or a more just way than that? Our father is a Just and Fair God after all.
