The Continuous Existence of the Human Soul.
This is my interpretation of our Fourth Priciple.
As we all have the spark of life within us, the spark that came from and is a part of God, when this earthly period of our life is over we return to our creator. We continue to live on in what Spiritualist refer to as the world of Spirit.
Life on Earth is like attending a school. We come here from Spirit to further our education and to learn the lessons that our Spirit self requires in order to progress. Some lessons can only be learnt though the experiences that this Earth life can provide.
It stands to reason that if we are a part of God and that we have a part of God within us, then if God is immortal, so are we. God does nothing without reason and to create beings only to live a short time (God being eternal) smacks of a lack of reason. If we are not eternal beings also, having lived in Spirit and able to return to Spirit, then surely we an nothing other than God's playthings and I for one cannot accept that our Father and Creator is that fickle a being. If he is, then surely this would negate all religious belief and render life as having no purpose. I will not believe that.
Therefore if God has made us in his image, He must have endowed us with an eternal life, and enabled us to work towards the perfection that He embodies.
