Projetos de Lars paralelos ao Metallica:
The NWOBHM - Revisited
Em 1990, quase dez anos ap�s os dias gloriosos da NWOBHM na �poca anterior ao in�cio dos trabalhos no black album, ele lan�ou um sampler com bandas que tinham influenciado seu estilo de m�sica. Como: Diamond Head, Iron Maiden (etc.). O nome desse album era: 'NWOBHM - Revisited'

 

Diamond Head - Reformation - 'Death and Progress'
Em 1993 na �poca que o 'Diamond Head' estava reformando a banda, ele deu conselhos ao Diamond Head no seu LP - 'Death and Progress'.

Mercyful Fate - 'Return of the Vampires'
Em 1993, Lars tocou a bateria num remake da m�sica 'Return of the Vampire' do Mercyful Fate's no �lbum 'In the Shadows'.

Kirk e Lars tocaram "American Badass" com Kid Rock no Jay Lenos' "The Tonight Show". Havia 3 guitarristas no palco ent�o Kirk s� tocou "co-rythm" e Lars tocou bateria. Durante a parte dos sinos na m�sica, Kid Rock disse "This is the twisted brown trucker band with the pioneers of this music: Metallica.".

 

Projetos do "The Music Company":


Ulrich fundou seu selo musical "The Music Company" en 1998 com um contador da turn� do Metallica, Tim Duffy. The Music Company � distribuido pelo selo Elektra. Abaixo voc� achar� algumas informa��es sobre as bandas que s�o assinadas pela The Music Company.


DDT - 'Urban Observer'
The canadian quinted 'DDT' from Vancouver is the first band which was signed on The Music Company label where they released their debut album "Urban Observer," in August of 1999.
Their music is described as a mixture of rap, ska and hip-hop with punk attitudes included in their lyrics.


Goudie - 'Peep Show'
Goudie [rhymes with 'howdy'] was discovered in the spring of 1998 at the South by Southwest music conference in their hometown of Austin, Texas. Their new CD, "Peep Show", was released in July 2000.
Their music is described as sounding a little bit similar to bands like Radiohead, Placebo and Remy Zero.

Systematic
The foursome band Systematic from Oakland, California recorded their debut album (untitled yet) in the end of 2000. Lars checked in for some time during the recordings. Their first demo song was called "Crawl Space".
Their music can be described as beeing similar to so-called "new metal" bands.

Brand New Immortals
The Brand New Immortals are based in Atlanta, Georgia consist of Johnny Colt (formerly of The Black Crowes), David Ryan Harris (formerly of Follow for Now) and KC Threshold. They were brought to The Music Co by Brendan O'Brien (R.A.T.M, Stone Temple Pilots, Korn, Pearl Jam, etc.) who produced their demos. Their first song which was released for radio airplay was "Reasons Why". Their debut album will be released in March or April 2001.
