�Hurry up and get in you four. We were supposed to be on the road already,� Nolan exclaims. The four climb into the van, Evette and Seth in the way back and Dani and Heath in the middle. Jessabelle, Belle for short, and Angel start the vehicles and they pull out down the road without looking back. Hooked up to the dashboard of the van is a computer on which Nolan immediately starts typing. Hooked up under every seat in the two cars is a computer (except the driver�s seats). The computer on the dashboard of the van is a map tracker. It lets them know where to go, how long to drive, where to eat, where to sleep, and tells Heat�s parents where they are at all times.
After driving for five hours, Heath pulls the computer out from under his seat. He opens it and writes a quick e-mail to Jake telling him that the tracker says to eat at the next restaurant. They all pile out of the cars and head for the restaurant doors.
�I�m starving,� claims Andy. Everyone except Andy laughs. �What?�
Elizabeth glares at everyone. �We�re sorry, baby. It�s just that you�re always hungry,� Elizabeth explains. Then she embarrasses him by kissing him and then leading him into the restaurant. The other couples follow behind, probably as hungry as Andy.
Jessabelle and Angel have been friends for ten years and along that time they became friends first with Andy and then with Evette and Danielle (Dani) and finally Seth. Angel had moved a couple of times but that didn�t hurt the five�s friendship. When Angel moved the last time, she met and fell in love with Jake. And Belle had had a thing for Nolan since the beginning of time - well kindergarten but hey. Nolan finally �looked� at her during their senior year and it was love at first site.
During the summer between Angel�s sophomore and junior year, Evette discovered Seth and he discovered her. Since then, the pair have been inseparable. After Angel moved, she met up with Heath. He was Angel�s ride to her hometown, Little Desire. That is where Dani and Heath hooked up. And Andy introduced Elizabeth to Angel after he had been dating Elizabeth for a couple of months.
So not all of the couples are in love, but not everyone falls in love right away. Well, Nolan is the leader of this escapade but not the oldest. Nolan is tall with brown hair and green eyes. And don�t tell anyone, but Belle calls him her �Superman.� Heath is the oldest and the more pleased for this trip because Dani�s with him. Heath is quite the prize with his blonde hair and blue eyes. Is it really a wonder why Dani loves him?
The next oldest is Andy�s girlfriend. She�s short with flaming red hair and soft green eyes. She may look vicious but she�s a cute kitten waiting to be cuddled. After that the rest of the guys are Jake, Seth, and Andrew. All three have brown hair but Andy has green eyes while Jake and Seth have brown eyes. Jake is tall and the girls think the rest of the guys feel intimidated by him. But if anyone knows how to cheer up the crowd it�s Andy. All he has to do is say he�s hungry, even if he just ate, and the rest of the group is laughing. Seth is laid back. He may not look mean but�well, make him mad and find out.
The best friends of the group are Belle and Angel as well as Evette and Dani. Belle and Dani are tall while Angel and Evette are kinda short. Evette has black hair, brown eyes, and a temper to match her boyfriend�s. The rest of the girls have blonde hair but Belle has green eyes while Angel and Dani have blue. But even with Evette�s temper, the four of them get alone fine.
The ten eat and Heath writes a check to pay their tab. Then they go out and pile into the car with Nolan driving the car and Jake driving the van. They take off and Heath writes a letter to his parents telling them how far they are, about 300 miles from Grand Valley. Angel and Belle pull out their computers and write to their mothers in Grand Valley and Little Desire.
�Send my mom and step-dad an e-mail saying where we are and how things are going. Heath, how much money is left? I just need them reassured that we�re fine. They were quite against me moving away. Angel, baby, give me a kiss,� Jake says leaning towards Angel, never taking his eyes off the road.
Angel composes a new letter and sends the information - as well as Heath�s parent�s number and e-mail address- to Jake�s parents. Then she leans into Jake and kisses him quickly. She then signs into messenger to talk to her friends. �Hey, Christian�s online.�
�Christian who? Ate the risk of sounding jealous, I�m going to ask who this Christian guy is,� Jake states. Dani and Evette burst out laughing. Angel glares at them.
�His name is Christian. He�s nineteen and lives in Europe. We�ve been friends for three years, maybe longer. I met him in a chat room and we dated online. But I broke up with him. We�re still friends, however,� Angel concludes. �Evette, Dani, he says hello, by the way.
�Did I sound jealous?� Jake asks.
�Oh yeah, man. I haven�t seen a more jealous man than her ex-boyfriend, James. You should have seen it about the whole �internet guys� thing. He went berserk. And at the football game last year when he found out I hugged Angel, I think he wanted to kill me. Makes me wonder what would have happened if I had kissed her,� Seth explains.
�You better not kiss her!� shouts Evette and Jake. Seth slinks away. Angel laughs.
�Then can I kiss him?� questions Angel.
�No!� Evette and Jake say again.
�Baby, don�t even think like that. Ok, I�m jealous. Not of your ex-boyfriends, or the Internet guys, or Christian. Who I�m really jealous of is Seth. Honey, do you really want to kiss him?� Jake asks as the jealousy takes over .
