When Katya gets up the next morning, she takes a shower, gets dressed, and then wakes up her siblings. Her day always starts out boring. The same stuff everyday. But this time when they walk out the door, Andrew is waiting around the corner for Katrina. Andrew walks up to them, kisses Kat on the cheek, and they begin their walk to school. They stop once more to wait for Kegan to catch up.
"Kegan, this is Andrew Aaron. Andrew, Kegan Kold," Kat introduces as they continue walking. They arrive at school and Kat finds that Andrew's locker is right across from hers. She also discovers that he has the same lunch as her. Kat heads to study hall and from there to the library, where she sits to read for the hour.
Soon lunch comes and as habit, Kat sits by Kegan. But after a few minutes, Andrew stops her while she is dumping her tray and takes her over to his table of friends. Once there, Andrew introduces her to everyone. She stands up next to Andrew because there are no available seats. After lunch, she heads to Spanish.
When the final bell rings, Kat leaves Economics and meets up with Kegan and Mellisa. They leave the school building and start to walk home when Andrew calls to Kat. Kat turns around to find Andrew running after her. The three of them stop as Andrew catches up.
"Sorry, I got caught up after class," Andrew explains. Then he quickly presses a kiss to Kat's cheek. They then continue on. Before long, they see Matthew up ahead with his new friend, Helena. Before too long, they arrive at Kat's house. Kegan left when they passed his house, but Andrew is still tagging along.
"Did you want to come in or are you going back to your house?" Kat asks Andrew. Andrew looks up at her and notices she had moved to the door and was waiting for his answer. Andrew nods and follows Kat inside.
"Kat, do you want to go back down by the river and hang out?" questions Andrew as they walk into the kitchen to get something to drink.
"Sure. Mom, is that ok?" Kat's mom says its fine as long as they are back by dinner. She also says that it s fine for Andrew to eat dinner there as well.
"Actually, Mrs. Mead, I was hoping I could take Kat out to dinner. It wouldn't be anything fancy," Andrew explains. Sylvia nods her head and tells the two of them to have fun. So Kat gets her bike and walks it over to Andrew's so he can get his bike.
Once at the river, the couple discovers that they won't be alone. There are two boys on the rocks next to the bridge fishing. So they cross the bridge and go to the other side to sit on the rocks. They find out more and more about each other. Evidently they find the dinner hour upon them when Andrew's stomach growls. So they climb the rocks, hop on their bikes, and go to the drive in down the road.
Wednesday: The Date
"What will you have, m'lady?" Andrew questions, surprising her with the m'lady part. Kat gives Andrew her order and then sits down. Andrew soon joins her. Overhead, music is playing by Faith Hill, a country singer. Kat is even more surprised when Andrew begins singing quietly, so only she can hear. Their food comes and Andrew quits singing, he sang every song on the radio, so he can eat. After they eat, they head back to Kat's house for a movie.
After the movie ends, Sylvia comes into the living room and says that Andrew should probably head home. So the new couple heads outside where Andrew helps Kat put her bike away.
"Kat, I had a wonderful time today. I hope we can do it again sometime," Andrew says. He then kisses Kat on the lips.
"Andrew, does this mean that we are officially a couple? I don't know what to think. Ever since I met you, I've had a wonderful time. Plus, I like you a lot," Kat explains.
"Kat, I don't know what to think either. The day I first say you and watched you do the Casper Slide, I fell in love with you. That same night, I heard you sister call your name and it seemed as though I feel in love with you all over again. Every other night I went, you were there. I was going to ask you to dance, but you were flirting with Justin and him with you. I wanted..."
"Andrew," Kat interrupts.
"No, Kat. Let me finish. I wanted to hurt Justin because of the stuff he was asking of you. But you seemed to like it. In fact, you encouraged it. Your friend and sister tried to stop you, but you didn't stop. I was right beside you, technically, and you never noticed me. And then that other guy asked you to dance. You declined so I thought I had a chance. But then he came over to you and started singing to you. What was I to do? Ask your friend or sister to show you to me? No thanks. And then I saw you in study hall. You looked so good in your outfit that I fell in love with you all over again."
"Andrew, please stop I want to get a word in," Kat says. Andrew says sorry. "Andrew, I'm sorry I didn't notice you. The truth is that I was still with Jeffrey. It wasn't until after flirting with Justin that I broke up with him. Yes, I was flirting with Justin. And yes, my friend and sister tried stopping me. But yes, I did notice you. I was about to ask you to dance when some other girl dragged you off. Besides, I didn't want Jeffrey to think I was cheating on him. So I flirted with Justin and stayed with Kolenya and Mellisa. I'm sorry Andrew. I guess you should go," Kat says. Before she walks into the house, she kisses him on the cheek. But he grabs her and kisses her on the lips.
"Katya Dixie Mead, I love you."
"Andrew Anthony Aaron, although I can't say that I love you, I like you a lot. Will you go out with me?" Kat asks shyly.
"Baby, I thought we already dealt with that. I would love to go out with you. I love you, Kat. See ya tomorrow," Andrew says before heading across the street. Kat walks into her house and dials Kol's number.
"Kol, you wouldn't believe this," Kat practically screamed into the phone.
"Calm down. I'm not that excited and I have some pretty weird news as well, Kat. But since you are so excited about yours, why don't you go first," Kol says.
"Ok! I have a boyfriend. His name is Andrew. He has blonde hair, green eyes, and he's about 5'11. Oh, he's so cute. I wish you could see him. Are you coming to your sister's this weekend?" Kat mumbles.
"Yes, I'm going to Lori's. It's cool that you have a new boyfriend. But guess what! I have a boyfriend too. Remember me telling you about Johnny? Well, he asked me out today. Oh, I'm so happy. Johnny drives so I'll ask him to meet me at your house Friday night. Then you can meet him and I can meet your Andrew. I have to go. But I'll see you on Friday, ok?" Kol questions. Kat agrees and they hang up.
