We are just a couple of days away from closing on our house and moving in. My stomach has been doing somersaults for the past couple of weeks and as the big day approaches, it is only getting worse. Kylan and I feel like kids waiting for Christmas...we can't wait to get moved in so we can really make the house our own.
It feels like such a grown-up thing to do, buying a house. I suppose it is, but we still don't feel like grown-ups. I mean, we hadn't even planned on looking at houses for another year and here we are, about to move in! Things move pretty damn fast when you turn away for a moment. ;o)
Anyway, we're almost completely packed up...just a few odds and ends to go. Most of what is still unboxed is in the kitchen and my office. We won't be packing up the computers until the last minute and we can throw whatever food is left into some shopping bags.
Kylan and I were talking about how this feels like a whole new chapter in our life together. He put it best when he said that the apartment feels so stiffling now and the house gives us so much more freedom.
It's just all so exciting. I haven't felt like this since the last time I went to Disney World!
