That was well over 20 years ago, and though I have not been the best of Christians, I can assure you Jesus has been the best of Lords.
I have come through many dark times that I would never have made it through if the Lord had not carried me. I have suffered from a "thorn in the flesh" that nearly devastated me. I am sure I would not have survived the trials that have come my way if Jesus had not kept me secure. He has been father and friend to me, through His Spirit He has constantly guided me, and kept me from serious pitfalls.
I would encourage anyone who is reading this that if you have felt something missing in your life, if you have felt alone and abandoned in this world--ask Jesus to give you a new life, ask for His ever present help and comfort through the indwelling of His precious Spirit. There is no other remedy for the sick soul--for the sinner in this world.
Give yourself to Jesus as I have, and you can also testify about the Lord of Lords, and how good Jesus is to those who receive Him into their hearts.
Say this simple prayer:
JESUS PLEASE FORGIVE ME FOR THE SINS OF MY LIFE, PLEASE BECOME MY LORD AND SAVIOR, COME INTO MY HEART NOW PLEASE, AND I WILL BE YOURS FOREVER.
If you prayed that prayer Jesus is now your Lord, and you are His child--yes it is that simple! Now begin to read The Bible, find a Church where you can be with other Christians.
