LRC Goals
|
|
|
|
The school library media program is a critical component of every school's total education program. The mission of the LRC is to empower its community of learners to become effective and efficient users and creators of ideas and information.
In collaboration with other teachers, educators and parents, the library media specialist: |

Teaches information literacy through the content areas
Enhances learning opportunities using technology
Builds reading literacy
Designs and delivers instruction
Provides intellectual and physical access to an organized system of ideas, information and resources. |

The Learning Resource Center is open from 7:45 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday when school is in session.
Information will be sent home regarding all LRC special events. |

About the Library Media Specialist
|
|
|
|
Mrs. Cynova believes that all students can, and want, to learn. The LRC provides a warm and supportive environment for all students. The LRC should be the main hub of the learning community. It supports inquiry-based learning and the school curriculum offering instructional activities, resources, facilities, and technologies. Mrs. Cynova wants to improve student achievement, create lifelong learners, and promote reading for enjoyment. |
