That's exactly what you'll find on the ktt, which is providing passengers with a superior standard of comfort on the Hong Kong to Guangzhou intercity passenger train service.

ktt Profile

The locomotives of ktt are purchased from Switzerland (Adtranz/ Bombardier) and the carriages are from Japan (IKK). In order to maximise its seating capacity, all the 12 carriages are double-decked, bringing the carrying capacity to almost 1,300, more than double of the other through trains. Two of the carriages are Premium Class, while the rest are First Class. The train is powered by the two electric locomotives, one at each end of the train.

World Class standard, World Class service

In previous years, the locomotives and rolling stock of the through trains running between the two cities were all provided by the Guangzhou Railway (Group) Corporation. In 1997, for the first time in its history, KCRC has bought its own intercity train, which is targeting businessmen and international tourists at the high end of the market.

Each compartment is fitted with luxurious and state-of-the-art facilities, reclinable seats are modelled upon aircraft designs, also, each seat has its own personal table, reading light, and a button for summoning assistance from the train attendants.
