KOZHIKODE or we called as Calicut is historically became famous since Vasco-De-Gama the Portugal navigator landed on 'Kappad' of Calicut since 1492. Really Kozhikode was rich enough in abundant spices and valuable wood resources at that time onwards.
Within the short period, Europeans as well as Arabs were attracted by her splendid Agricultural wealth.
During the reign of Zamorians the Arabs were more attracted and good business transaction has been established. It caused to make better bilateral relations between the Indians and the Arabs forever. It continued for a long while, as we know Kallai became the heart of the Wood trade center, in the World market until the last decade.
To commemmorate the above facts with great gratitude to the Arabs, we ourselves are debated to unite our people especially those who are born and brought up at Calicut City, Under the banner of KUWAIT CALICUT MUSLIM ASSOCIATION.,which stand for unity,fraternity and co operation among our city men.
