My First Survival Kit

The matches used in this kit are terrible if you have ever tried to use the matches out of an MRE a few days after opening it you know why these matches are a bad choice for survival situations.
Another item in this kit that is substandard but better than nothing is the wire saw. After being out of the package for about 10 minutes I broke it trying cuts that are normally easy with a wire saw from here or there.
This kit was a great starter and some of the items have made it into my more recent kits my favorite is the GI Proof tinfoil. Its a bit small but its practically bulletproof. besides being used for cooking the tin foil can be used as a signaling device.
