I may be googlie eyed in this picture, but I'm a real cutie!
Here's what's new: 7/19/2006 - Oops! it's been awhile but there's a lot to report. Lilly went on her first plane ride to Florida and was pretty good considering the circumstances. She showed her "Conover genes" and pooped mid flight, so we had to change her stinky diaper on board the plane. She went swimming and also got to stick her feet in the ocean. Around 4 months old she started to cut her bottom 2 teeth so she's been pretty miserable. She also is eating rice cereal and is pretty good at it! She's into blowing bubbles right now and that does not mix well with runny cereal.
5/24/2006 - Lilly moved from her bassinet to her crib this week. She is sleeping around 8 hours a night so we decided it was time. She seems to be sleeping better now that she has some more room to wiggle around in. Plus she has lots of things to look at in her new bed like a mobile, a bumper with lots of animals and a piano that plays music. Even though she's right next door, we still have to keep the monitor on and the first few nights were rough because K.C. kept checking up on her.
5/15/2006 - Lilly is 10 weeks+ old. She LOVES to kick and play with her toys- finally! She enjoys the floor gym with the arches and the dangly toys. She can kick and play with them. She also likes the Peek a Boo Piano that she kicks and it plays music and lights up. She plays with rattles and toys that make noise- she will grab them and touch them. She went to her first Phillies game on 5/9 and she must have been the good luck charm because we pulled it out at the bottom of the 9th!
4/25/2006 - Lilly is a little over 7 weeks old and she is laughing, smiling and farting - a lot! She broke the deal we had that she'd only poop for her dad. Her hair is about 2 inches long and it's turning a little more brown than black. Her eyes are still blue but they have a little bit of green in them so maybe they'll be hazel like Mom's. She likes being in her swing and going for walks- anywhere where she is moving!! She also is sucking her thumb, or pointer finger, or fist- whatever she can fit in her tiny mouth.
So being a new mom is a very overwhelming experience! It's full of ups and downs, migraines and muscle aches, but I would not trade it in for anything! Luckily Lilly is a great baby- she sleeps almost 6 hours at night, chows down her food and is easily entertained just by sticking your tongue out at her! I won't say it's all been good, we have some times where she screams like there's no tomorrow, but for the most part she calms down with a good round in the swing or a long walk in her stroller.
