Moments of Beauty

  Lifes wildflowers
  grow tangled and beautiful,
  in colorful displays that vanish
  overnight.
  But linger in the mind.
  Dispersing seeds
  for next time around.
Magic

There is magic in the twilight
that scatters silver in the water
and purple-orange in the sky.

And erases for a moment
the troubles of the day
in the stretching shadows
reaching toward the night.

Worries drop unnoticed
to lie upon the ground.
Time enough tomorrow
to shoulder them again.

For now, just like a child,
you can still believe in magic
as you watch the sun kiss earth
in a warm embrace of color
and a dance of fireflies.
Mirage

Come and visit me
in the green oasis where I dwell.

Its only a mirage,
but it serves me well.
A shifting, floating image,
a castle in the sand,
a pleasant place really,
my imaginary land.

Its all in how you see things,
your life is in your mind,
so Ive invented my existence
and now everything is fine.

Come and visit me today,
and if you like it
perhaps youll stay.
