| Of Trees, and Somehow, Love Evergreens are constant and steadfast, standing dark and mysterious on mountains Song of the surf in their wind tossed branches. Their arms clothed in frothy verdure. Cool scented shade on summers hottest days and in winter, a lively counterpoint to relieve the dead grey skies. I am dazzled by the fickle maple with its brilliant seasons colors and gladly greet the poplar with its fluttering blush of spring. Some trees supply with overflowing abundance their delicious glossy fruit, while others spread a subtle poison leaving me stinging, beware those sneaking leaves of three! There are those that impress me with their height and cathedral majesty, and some that make up for their withdrawn lonely winter by flowering brightly scented petals in the spring. But for me, my true love is the mysterious and reassuring constancy of the steadfast evergreen, whispering sweet always in the breeze. |

| Ocean of Dreams A river of silver in moonlight Leading me up to the stars. Dazzling diamonds in daytime, Luring me far from the shore. Light on the water is lovely. Ocean of dreams I can see. Ethereal and so enchanting, You will never be far from me. In my thoughts and my mind, there for always, the song of my soul is the sea. |
