INTRODUCTION
Please
welcome to my profile page. Thanks for your interest. Let
me tell you at the beginning that this was a laborious work.
I have kept the projects and descriptions to the minimum
so that the educated eyes can extract exactly what is required.
Generally
speaking I have done a wide range of technical work ranging
from Installing and configuring VPNs to Complex software codes
for validations for US Vehicle Registrations.
I
am a Process oriented and methodological person, who love
challenges. Inclination is more towards technical management
and process streamlining.
I
feel, the good part of my profile is that I have dirtied
my hands before managing these processes now.
So its more of a managing worker ! I firmly believe
that �knowledge is power� and I must know a step better than
the team I lead.

I
have passed through various profiles in Software Development
and have listed here only few interesting ones.
Technologies used were mostly VB/MS SQL, PHP/MySQL
and .NET.
Few years back, I have also worked on Oracle 7.1 on
SCO Unix with Forms 3.0/Reports 1.1 etc.
Essentially
I am a hard-core techie, who does not give up easily.

Description:
This
project was to modify an existing website to allow clients
to search and post memorials for the departed.
The average search time was 1:40 Minutes with
72 Million records in Database.
The customer also wanted web based administration
of the Database with very large conditional uploads
and verifications.
The site also provided payment gateway for online
payment.

Achievements:
We
inherited an existing DB with 72 million records in
MS SQL 2000. We
reorganized the Indexes and the Maintenance plan of
this large DB and reduced average search timings to
0:22 Sec. Apart
from their website maintenance, the client delightedly
contracted us their DB administration task to us.
We also bagged the Bonus Amount for completing
the revamped website within the defined time frame.

Description:
Objective
of this Project was to develop a Package consisting of
Client, Webservice and Admin utility to schedule and
manage unattended distribution of propriety licenses to
client PCs. The client had various packaged
software which had to be licensed on per seat basis to
various departments of US and wanted a utility to
automate license management and package
distribution. This was similar to Norton
Auto-Update Utility from client side.

Achievements:
We
used latest technologies like Background Intelligent
Transfer Service, Click-Once Technology, .NET WebService
etc to achieve a failsafe component to distribute and
manage critical licenses and MSI packages. Complex
VBscript to manage MSI scripts and DLL to enable
real-time logging was achieved in this project.

Description:
This
project was to process various logs from a US based
Oil Rig Company.
The logs were delivered to us in scanned image
formats. Our
challenge was to convert the image to numbers and provide
Excel graphs based on various parameters given by the
client.

Achievements :
The
software was made to understand the pattern of the logs
and reduce the actual keypunch of the operators to capture
the data. OCR
technology was used to dramatically cut down manpower
required for processing the logs.
Overall the project completed 26 days before
time and with 42% of cost savings for the BPO over forecasted
cost.

Description:
Objective
of this Project was to convert an existing Payroll and
Inventory Package from Fijutsu COBOL to VB/MS SQL.
The propriety code was written in Fijutsu COBOL to
integrate with other propriety applications. This
project required onsite coordination at Chicago,
US. We studied (yes learnt COBOL in 2 months !!)
and analyzed the existing system and seamlessly migrated
to VB/MSSQL without a single day of
downtime.

This
company was processing US Income Tax and Driver License
forms everyday with a floor strength of approx 100
operators. We achieved the challenge of
migrating their performance integrated systems without a
single day of down-time.

project was to capture and process the US Police Incident
Report Forms.
The project volumes were huge starting from year
2000 to 2004.
The customer wanted the data for Archival and
Analysis. The
inputs were given to us in the form of Images and Validation
Data. The
Turn Around Time of the project was 4 months.

Extensive use of DLL & Active X components
was done to complete the software development and accommodate
frequent changes.
