British Bikes with Southern Savvy!

Welcome to my first public project. Over the next several months I’ll be collecting parts for, and then building a 1951 BSA A7 Star Twin plunger frame motorcycle . The plan at this time is to restore as much of the bike as possible with improvements in the engine and electrics. A custom paint will be placed on this beautiful ride instead of the bland factory colors.

There will be no set pace or any time limit on how long this will take me as  finding factory original parts will take time, plus I will not allow this to take time away from my family, friends, Church, or even my job. So please bare with me as I work though this and other projects.

UPDATE FEB 28, 2007: While doing research on the history of the BSA bikes I came across some information about the frame VIN numbers. It is possible that this is really a 1951 A10 GOLDEN FLASH as the VIN number on my bike starts with ZA7S which was used for both the A7 Star Twin and the A10 Golden Flash. I'm not certain which it is yet as there was no title with the frame being this old and coming from a parts house off of E-bay.

If you have any tips or suggestions about the project please drop me an E-mail

This is an example of a 1952 triumph (not mine I found this picture on the web). The bike I’m going to build (besides being a BSA and not a triumph) will have a more accurate front end. The seat and basic style of the bike are very similar to the way I'm going to be doing mine, except mine will have the front fender and tins around the headlight. This of course is based on if I can find all the parts I need. Only time will tell.
