I wanted to share some of my children's work with you on this page. The first page is the page that I drew that my 7-year-old was supposed to copy. Her copy of it follows. Her younger sister, who just turned 4, wanted to "join in", so I gave her a piece of paper and told her to share the same crayons as Moira was using. I paid her no attention as she often ends up just drawing her own picture. This time though, the bottom photo is the result. According to our homeschooling philosophy, she will not be doing this work for 3 more years. I struggle with not wanting to discourage her interest in reading as I taught myself to read at her age, but I also don't want to get her into her head too early, either.
