"Well my half-brother, Bob, joined the military when he was young. I didn't know him that well because he's a few years older then I am. Bob now has a wife, Mary, and 3 daughters, and I believe they live in North Carolina. My half-sister, Jackie, and I got along pretty well. We used to keep in touch but we've drifted apart. She has two sons and married a man named Harold Jr. Littrell and..."
Taylor interrupted her mother."Woah, what was that last name again?"
"...Littrell. I think they still live in Kentucky," Mrs. Chapman replied, completely oblivious to her daughter's shocked expression.
"Mom do you know who we're related to?" Taylor asked as she began to pace back and forth.
"No, who honey?" her mother asked as she continued sewing.
"Only a member of my favorite band, the Backstreet Boys!"
"Are you sure? There might be more than one family with that last name," said her mother.
"Do you still have her phone number or address or something?!" asked Taylor as she ran to her mother's planner. Sure enough there was the phone number. Taylor slowly picked up the phone and nervously dialed the number.
A woman answered, "Hello?"
"Hi Aunt Jackie. This is Debbie's daughter."
Taylor heard a gasp through the receiver. "Oh my... well hello! This is such a surprise."
After an hour or so of catching up, Taylor finally got to the reason she called in the first place. "Umm... Aunt Jackie, this may seem like an odd question but, is your son a member of the Backstreet Boys?"
"Well yes he is. So you've heard of them? That's great. Are you a fan?"
"Only one of the biggest ever."
"I'm sure he'd love to hear from you. Brian would be so happy to hear he has more family... You know, I think I'll call him."
"You really think he'll be excited Aunt Jackie?"
"'Aunt Jackie', I like that. I know he'll be excited Taylor. Well I must go now dear. I'll call soon. Thank you for calling here," said Taylor's aunt.
"Ok, thanks! Bye!" Taylor put down the receiver. She sat down slowly while her head felt like it was floating among the clouds, a grin was plastered on her face.
