Behind The Name

If you were wondering, the name is a creative "alter-ego" of mine (if you want to put it that way). It was also something a friend and I came up with to represent my personal brand and my overall style. Plus, I'm sort of a big fan of magic and astrology. *Hint hint* I am a Leo (big cat) and the word "kvro" comes from "kuro", Japanese word for "black". Put those two things together and BOOM! You have "blackcat" aka kvrokat. Why the letter K? Because why not! It's also the first letter of my name and it looks unique.

Who is KVRO.KAT?

Behind the scenes I go by my real name, Keona Birdon. I am a very compassionate 27 year old, with a degree in Graphic Design and Media Arts who also works as a paint instructor at Painting With A Twist. My hobbies include painting (well duhh) and creating custom content for a popular virtual game.
I have worked with mediums such as acrylic, watercolor/ink, tempera, pastels, and color pencil. Acrylic has always been my go-to medium, but as I discovered what watercolor/ink can do; I was hooked. Soon, I plan to expand my skills and technique with watercolors in order to develop my own unique style. I also have experience in logo designs, invitations and other projects associated with graphic design. In the past, I have done freelance portraits for families along with custom logos for various clients. As you look at my work you will see that I pay attention to detail.
