| I started a section of this website dedicated to my dislike of Valentine's Day and true to it's course, this year (2005) is no different. I was informed that my Grandma Mary Griffey, whom has always encouraged and supprted me and given me inspiration to make it as a single woman in this harsh world, died yesterday of a heart attack. I have not seen her in 22 years but have kept in touch through letters. I was making plans to take my kids to see her this year. She never let me think I had any reason not to keep going no matter how bad I messed up. So Kudos to you Valentine's Day. You SUCK!!! I realize that's not a very Christian approach but I am also human and it hurts.....every year it hurts. And it's only my personal opinion. And absolutely true 2007....nothing changed so let's see if my new boyfriend changes the way I feel. And 2008......because, well ..... nope he didn't change it either. |
