| Dear Family & Friends | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Hi, Wow--It has been a very long time since I've had the chance to sit and update you all on what we've been doing. We appreciate your continued concern and prayers for Kaylie and the many of you I see that tell me you check for updates every so often, thank you- it means alot that you are friends, family and visitors. Kaylie is now 6yrs old and has grown out of her baby little body into a sweet little toddler girl. She has blonde hair, blue eyes and melts your heart with just her presence. Let me bring you a little closer to where we are today. Two years ago this Month, Kaylie had surgery on a complete Tonsil/Adnoid, Uvulua removal, Laser treatment on her epiglottis, removal of her secretion glands and the tying of her perotid glands. Since that time, she has done remarkable well. We have almost totally eliminated respitory distress minus a few colds here and there, have completely controlled the bouts of aspiration she did on a regular basis, and have brought a very sick little girl back to a happy and healthy state. What a difference is has made for her and we are thrilled. Among the many trips we still make to Doctors appoints, over the summer we made a trip to the eye doc and Kaylie now wears glasses. I must say she looks so grown up and smart. I'll snap some pics and post them soon. Kaylie loves her school. She has lots of helpers and is well-known around town. She has lots of therapies, goes to art, music and gym and loves to be pushed in her new swing. Kaylie's Make-A-Wish was a big success. Pics on front page and I'm sure you will enjoy them. Debbie (her nurse) and Kaylie love her room. It's so inviting and once in you can't leave. On another note, Makenzie and Jaycie continue to grow and mature. They both excell in school and sports and life is good:}. They are enormous helpers around the house, and have now become expert baby sitters with Gavin, who is a happy handful. Gavin, now 3yrs old loves to be wined and dined by his 2 big sisters. A little squeek goes a long way..if you know what I mean. He gets passed from one set of arms to another, but he's little--so spoil him while you can, right? Well, it's good therapy for me to write, but I'm off for now. Think of you all often, thank-you for your continued thoughts and prayers. We trust God knows what is best for Kaylie, and in him we find strength. Just Remember... Some of God's Greatest Gifts are Unanswered Prayers. |
