That Feeling
The ocean's waves are capsizing
The toss and turn of the boats
Parked on the watery lot.
Grayness dominates the blue sky
Darkness.
The clouds burst.
Rain pours down on you and me.
Falling harder and faster.
We seek shelter.
Finding no better place than where we are
Together, we wait out the storm.
The rain gets lighter until it diminishes
Storm clears.
Soon blue overlaps the gray.
And the clouds part revealing the sun.
I find you holding me.
