8.1 Baccalaureate Honors (Applicable to all Students enrolled starting AY 2011-2012)

Summa Cum Laude

-a general weighted average of 95% with no grade lower than 90% in all academic and non academic subjects (Rel Ed, Guidance, NSTP, English Plus)
-a completion of the course within the prescribed curriculum year.

Magna Cum Laude

-general weighted average of 93% with no grade lower than 87% in all academic and non academic subjects (Rel Ed, Guidance, NSTP, Engish Plus)
-a completion of the course within the prescribed curriculum year.

Cum Laude

-general weighted average of 90% with no grade lower than 85% in all academic and non academic subjects (Rel Ed, Guidance, NSTP, Engish Plus)
-a completion of the course within the prescribed curriculum year.

8.2 Special Awards

Academic Proficiency Award

Transferee/Irregular/working students who do not enroll the maximum unit load per semester according to the prescribed curriculum cannot be conffered baccalaureate honors. However, he/she can qualify for the Academic Proficiency Award, provided that he/she has:
-general weighted average of 90% with no grade lower than 85% in all academic and non academic subjects (Rel Ed, Guidance, NSTP, English Plus) -completed the course within the prescribed curriculum year.
-No remarks in the transcript of record such as NG, NC, Inc., Dropped, Failure or blank.

Honor Distinction for Non degree Program

A graduating student from One-year Two year course may be given the distinction of Outstanding Honor provided that he/she has:
-a general weighted average of 90% with no grade lower than 85% in all academic and no academic subjects (Rel Ed, Guidance, NSTP, English Plus).
-completed the course within the prescribed curriculum year.

8.3 Non Academic Awards

Fidelity Award

Any graduating student may be awarded the Fidelity Medal provided that he/she has:
-completed his/her entire course of study in BCC from elementary, high school and college.
-kept and lived the good name and expectations of a BCCnian throughout his/her stay in BCC.

Recognition Award for Exemplary Performance

Any student or Student Organization may be awarded the plaque or certificate of recignition or appreciation for his/her its exemplary performance and leadership in the involvement for Social Transformation. Other recognition may be awarded from time to time depending upon his/her its accomplishements in line with the values nurtured in BCC.

8.4 Academic Honors and Awards

A. Dean's List
A Dean's list is awarded at the end of the first and second semesters on the basis of:
-Student must have a regular class load as prescribed by the curriculum per year;
-Student must have 85% and above grade in all subjects enrolled;
-Student must apply days before the final examinations per semester to the department dean.
