Periodical Examinations

1. The three major examinations (Prelim, Midterm, Final) are held throughout each regular semester on designated schedules set or prescribed by the School.These designated schedules of Prelim, Midterm, and Final examinations are announced and posted on appropriate bulletin boards.

2. The three major examinations - Prelim, Midterm, Final are, as a rule, required or compulsory for all students. No other requirement or activity in lieu of said major examinations shall be allowed except in special cases as determined and/or approved by the Department Dean concerned.

3. All students are strictly required, without any exemption/s whatsoever, to secure an examination permit from the Cashier and present the same to the teacher or authorized proctor prior to the taking of major examinations.

4. As a policy, no student shall be allowed to take any major examination without an examination permit.

5. The student should see to it that the teacher's or authorized proctor's signature is affixed on the examination permit as a proof that the student has taken the examination.

6. Failure to take the examination on scheduled date due to carelessness in copying the examination schedule or due to failure to secure an examination permit is NOT considered a valid excuse.

7. A student is required to present an examination permit as requisite in taking special examination/s.

8. Honestly, integrity, truthfulness, and other similar virtues should be primarily exercised and properly observed during examinaations. A student caught cheating in any quiz or examination shall be given a grade equivalent to zero in the said quiz or examination without prejudice to other sanctions provided in the Student handbook.

Special Examination

1. Only students with valid excuse shall be allowed to take a special examination within 10 days after the final examination.

2.1 sickness or accident that requires medical attention (duly certified by a physician, parent or guardian). 2.2 Death of an immediate family; and 2.3 Other circumstances that may be beyond the control of the student and verified or found meritorious by the Dean of Student Welfare.

3. A student who takes the Special Examination must present his/her Examination Permit.

4. A student who fails to take the special examination/s during or within the prescribed allowable period shall not be given another special examination and shall accordingly get a failing in that particular examination.
