| Taumarunui Holiday Park is situated a 30 minute drive north of the Tongariro World Heritage Park which abounds in walking tracks from 1-2 hours to the Round the Mountain Track which is a 4-5 day tramp. The famous Tongariro Crossing, said to be New Zealand's finest 1 day walk is another feature of the park. |

| We are also only a 30 minute drive north of the Whakapapa Ski Field which is New Zealand's largest ski field. During the summer months the chairlifts operate providing access to the upper mountain and spectacular views over the middle of the North Island. |

| Taumarunui is the starting point for the Whanganui River Journey. A 5 day canoe adventure that takes in 145.5 kilometres of beautiful native bushland and 197 rapids, all the way to Pipiriki. The trip can also be broken into 2 or 3 day stages. We can arrange your trip with our local operators either guided or self hire. |
