 | Armand loves to play golf. There are a number of
excellent courses in Singapore. Playing in Malaysia and Indonesia usually
involved a 1 1/2 hour drive or a 45 minute ferry trip.
Either way it means a full day but is definitely worth it and is
certainly a lot less expensive than playing in Singapore.
Now back in Canada it will be difficult to play year round but the selection
of courses around Toronto is fantastic.
Other interests include regular tennis games and I am now getting back into
a tennis routine in Toronto. The
downside of being an expat in Asia is that your friends have a habit of getting transferred
away. This makes it tough to keep regular tennis partners.

 | Marlene's special interest is cooking and shopping. She loves to do a
variety of dishes from around the world but Italian, Thai and Indian are her
favourites. It
is really fascinating to learn local dishes and Marlene was a regular at cooking
schools in Singapore. Her favourite school was at the Raffles Cooking
Academy at the famous Raffles Hotel.
