The Book of Iero

Chapter One of the Book of Iero

In the darkness of dark, the lightest of lights allowed herself sacrificed, so daughters could renew her world. It was she, Goddess of Tharia, Garma who had concieved the Goddess children, Vesi and Aria of popular story. When she was absent from earth, giving such a great birth, Tharia fell into chaos, into the hands of darkness, never to return. Unable to overpower the great gods of evil, Garma did a valiant deed for Tharia, she sacrificed her own pure life which cleansed the evil and left her daughters to care for Tharia. She left one thing, one thing for all to remember her by, the great Crown of Garma, a golden crown adorned with the jewels of her love.

The daughters grew, and their power and love for life thus grew as well. They believed Tharia wasn't filled with the warmth it was when their fair mother reigned. It needed life, other than the lovely flowers of every shade. It needed life. This, Aria created herself the race of elves, comparing them always to herself, in their wisdom and fairness of ways. Vesi, feeling belittled by her sister's feats made the Demi, in mold to herself, with her power and peaceful ways. These were the first to walk on the lands of the fair world, and prosper they did, living with nature and embracing their land, not destorying it as Garma herself died to stop. The sisters, feeling as thought something was missing, created the humans, looking as their mother did. Unfortunantly, their mother depicted a lovely human, representing chastity and love, purity and peace. The humans the sisters created were not so beautiful, but power hungry and terrible.

The goddesses watched their races prosper, and added to their uniquness, and frowned apon the human's ways. They tried to stop, tried to interfere to save their world, but no, the human's would not believe that there were two goddesses in the skies watching them. They denounced it, and would not speak of it. Aria, she thought the humans could change their ways. But Vesi, she decided to take a stand. She sent Garma to earth, in the Great Temple, in present day Layor. The Demis she had protect it, and thus forth gave them even greater powers to protect it. Aria begged her sister to stop, but she had to make the humans believe in her mother, she could not live with such ignorance.

Soon, the tradition came forth of the crown bearer. The holder of Garma was usually a demi or elf, because the humans were thought to unpure to even gaze upon it's beauty. Garma's holder also had a mystical power, given to them by Garma and her daughters. With the proper knowledge and skill, in times of extreme need the holder of Garma could summon Vesi and Aria. When the crown was sent to earth, the sisters, like their mother, somewhat sacrificed themselves. They put themselves in a sleep, to lay dormant in the crown, waiting for a call. They re-made their mother's world, and created new life. They tried to return the pureness of souls to the humans, and hoped that by placing their mother's light on earth, the humans would believe. And thus, their mother could awaken and the world of Gods begin anew.

Book of Iero: Chapter 2- Pertaining to the Prophecy

Garma, in all it's beauty will lay on the world, in the hands of the most benevolant creature it can find. But the call, the call will be answered in the Second Age, the age of the greater murderer, a nameless terror that strikes fear in a once fearless people. The crown has a code, and cannot be unlocked as the goddesses made it so. Of course, there must be one of each child, one human, one elf, and one demi to unlock it's power. But it will only be unlocked at the appropriate time.

Now, of the future and what it holds. When one race has dwindled, it's last will be the first key to the crown. But alas, there can only be one. If two, the crown will no open it's secrets. This creature will create the dragon, taker of lives. The next will be a creature of wise mindset and benevolant ways, a sibling of the foremost key. This child will be unknown, but drawn to the crown in the most oddly of ways, by the third and final key. This creature will create the gryphon or eagle, of shining justice, giver of life. This key is the hardest to be determined. It shall be of a corrupted people, yet this one shall hold a shining light of hope. It will be drawn by an ancient agent of Garma who has lived on earth for centuries, and it shall find it's way to fighting for good in the name of all that live. This creature will be given a mighty sword, in which shall break the earth and begin the earth. It shall take away the dark threat, and murderous one so that the earth may be cleansed. This is the prophecy.

NOTE: One of Iero's unique characterisics is that there is only one copy, written in silver blood. Every so often, changes can be seen, additions. It is so with this version.
