Mutsumi Otohime

 Mutsumi first appeared in episode 5 when Keitaro bumped into her and she fell to the floor, looking like she was dead. Like Keitaro, she also failed the test to Toudai three times. Mutsumi has an important role in the story as she also has a promise to get into Toudai with someone in her childhood memory (just like Keitaro). She gave Keitaro and Naru their first kiss. After their journey to Okinawa, Mutsumi gave Keitaro a hot spring turtle, Tama, which soon becomes a pet for the residents in Hinata Inn. She somehow disappears after episode 6 and appears again later in the story. From the photo of Naru's past, it looks like Mutsumi was the girl who made a promise with Keitaro. But in the end of episode 24, Mutsumi tells Naru that she's not that girl.
