"If it really works... Let's go to Toudai together, okay...?"
"When we grow up, we'll definitely meet at Toudai again!"
"It's a promise!"

That's the promise that Keitaro Urashima made with a cute little girl 15 years ago in a park. Now Keitaro is 20 years old and he can't remember the girl's identity. Even though he can't remember her name, he is still determined to get into Tokyo University (Toudai). He's tried his best to get into Toudai, but has failed several times in the entrance exam. If not for his childhood promise, Keitaro wouldn't have such a determination. When we meet Keitaro in the first episode, he moves into Hinata-sou as the new manager. The only problem...Hinata-sou is an all girls dorm. The girls aren't too pleased with this, but they get used to it. Keitaro still tries to get into Toudai and begins to think that Naru Narusegawa is the cute little girl from 15 years ago. Naru denies this because she was only 2 back then. The story progresses and you meet many new characters on the way.

Love Hina was released in April, 2000. It's broadcasted by TV Tokyo in Japan. Later in March, 2001, Love Hina was licensed by Bandai and released in the US. The Anime consists of 26 episodes, while the manga consists of 10.
