He
is an international terrorist and all of us know about this. Unfortunately, some
people are supporting him and his movement - and these people are even proud of
his actions.
These
ignorant people who are supporting Osama, express their gratitude to him by
using products, which display Osama’s picture or name. These products include
T-shirts, key chains, calendars, stickers, posters, bookmarks - and the list
goes on. The issue here is why the government did not take any action to ban
these products, although the country is against Osama and Al-Qaeda movement.
Malaysia
is also in the list of countries that have supported United States of
America’s attack on Afghanistan. Since our country is supporting USA and is
against Osama, then there should be no hesitation to ban these terrorist based
products in our country. If this group of people convey their support to Osama
by using products which are based on him, then later another terrorist
supporting group will arise with products which are based on their leader and it
will become a trend - and there will be no end to it.
I
would like to clarify here that I am not just against Osama but also against all
the terrorists and militant groups around the world. It is because terrorism
will not provide the solution for any problem. Terrorism will just take away
many innocent lives and the end result of terrorism is wastage of time, money,
energy and many innocent lives.
At
this juncture, I would like to point out that Al-Qaeda’s biggest 911 attack in
US took away more than five thousand lives. The five thousand people who died
there were not just from one religion or ethnicity, but a mixture of almost all
the religion and ethnicity around the world.
In my view, it is the duty and responsibility of the government to ban any product that is based on any terrorist group or leader. We cannot take this matter lightly because we do not want terrorism to be a way of life.
