My Comic Shelf


	Ah Ha! My comic shelf is here! Well, I've been told by my friends to introduce some of my comic collection here. =). The collection is not very big but it will do some good to those who doesn't know anything about comics =P

Title: Fushigi Yuugi - Myterious Play

Number of volumes: 18 (Finished)

=) Well if you are girl, I really recommend you this one. It's mostly on romance and friendship. This series is also quite popular. It's known to alot of comic fans. It's the kind of stuff that every ger daydream about <- that's what I feel =)

This is a story about a girl with the name Yuuki Miaka. As a normal school girl in today's japan, she feels very stressful and pressurised. However one day she came across a magic book which is called the "Universe of the Four God". She got sucked into the book and the adventure of her live has just began.

In the book she is the Suzaku no Miko. Her role is to gather the Suzaku seven stars warriors and summon Suzaku. Suzaku is the Guidance of the south and is also a god of love.

I really like this series alot. And I recommend it to all who like both romance and comedy. This series has also been made into animation. For those people who have Cable TV. It was shown in the AXN channel. There are slight difference between the anime and the manga - an extra arc where Nakago returns back as a neutral character.

Title: Sumurai Deeper Kyo

Number of Volumes: Unknown [still being released]

To tell you the truth, for those who have read Rurouni Kenshin. You'll like this too 'coz it starts almost at the same period.

Kenshin was in a period Meiji 10 while this is in Meiji 4. So it's almost the same. The manga talks about almost the same thing like Kyo being the battousai during the war.. Blah Blah Blah

As this series is still being released, there is not much to talk about.. =) But the plot is nice.

From what Ive read from the first book to the latest volume, the rating for this book can say to be 5 / 10 <- I gave it five coz the author drags so long in character introduction and making me blur on the identity of Kyo. =P

Title: Shadow Skills

Number of Volumes: Unknown [ still being released]

The series is about a young boy name Gau and his journey in becoming the best fighter across the land. This is a bit like street fighter. However the scenes here are funnier.

I can't say much about the manga as it is still being released. However one thing I can tell you is to watch the anime. It's extremely well drawn and animated! And for those who have cable TV, AXN is doing a reshow of this anime on 23 Nov. Check out your time table!

My recommendation is that if you already have the animation dun buy the manga. Some of my friends say that the book is too detailed that you have to read it several time before you know wat is happening. However I'll have to tell you that the animation is not the same as the manga.

Title: Yamato Gensoki

Number of Volumes: 2

Well I like this story plot very much!!!!!!!! However it's a pity that the author stop the story at only Volume 2. Very suspending ending also!

The story says of how a boy is being left under the care of his own enemies without even realising it. As a young boy, he was taught that the only way to end war is to destroy every kingdom. However after meeting the main female charater of the story, he realised that wat he did was wrong and decided to help the girl in uniting the kingdom thus stopping wars.

Reason I like this? Well it's kind of a fantasy for me. Besides it has details on the different type of swords and their history! Interesting rite? =p For this book, most of my friends say that there may be another series following this, but I doubt it.

Rating: 4 / 10 <- for making the suspending ending...
