RAD Boxers

Welcome to RAD Boxers!

My name is Anita DeJager. I live with my husband, Ron DeJager and my mother, Joyce Limbocker. Ron and I have been married for 20 years and are very happy. My mother has lived with us for 19 years. We have the best of all worlds. Ron and I work outside of our home, and my mother takes care of us. What could be better than that! I first met Venus (Sunrise' First Song of Rochil) at Vickie Millard's home when Darlen Weakley brought her over to show her off. It was love at first site. We were living in an apartment at the time and already had 2 girls; Nikita, an Australian Shepard/Catahoula mix, and Cricket, a Boston Terrier. We were not supposed to have any more pets. I talked to Ron, and he agreed to let us get Venus as long as I did the legwork to find a house. Needless to say it did not take me long... I found 5 acres and we decided to build. We now live in our camper trailer while we build our house. It is crowded, but the girls have a yard to play in, and forest to explore and hike in.

We are proud members of the Boomer Boxer Club in Oklahoma City, OK. With the help of the club and especially my mentors I am trying to gather any and all information on the history of the boxer breed. My boxer library is growing daily. Whenever I have been unsure or just do not understand, I am lucky enough that my questions can be answered by a simple phone call to my mentors.

I would like to thank Darlen for allowing Venus to be a part of our lives...she is our baby. Thanks to my mentors, Velda Rounsaville, Vickie Rounsaville-Millard (Har-Vel Boxers), and Darlen Weakley (LDL Boxers). With my mentors help we are learning how to be responsible owners, breeders, and show people. I could never have done this without them.
