Today was just like anyday...
It had been two months after the accident....
The doctors haven’t help...
Now, they only came in to bring me food and medicine...
Attend to my needs...

Nothing around changed much...
Except me...

Visitors had ceased completely... only one or two came once in a while...
My mother.. was pregnant again.
My father.. who used to work till late into the night, would rush home everyday to accompany her.
Now.. they only came once a week to see me...
Even then..  they would talk about the coming baby...

I felt left out...
Lonely...
Sometimes... I wish they would not come at all...
They only made me sadder..
Yet I could not cry in front of them...
I did not want to spoil their joy...
 

“Hello?”
This morning... a knock at the door.. then came this voice...
I had not heard this voice before...
Two months of darkness... made my hearing sharper...
I came to recognize people from their voices...
This voice... belongs to a stranger...

“What you want?”
I ask coldly.  It had been a long time... since someone except the hospital people entered the room..

“Nothing.  I have seen your name at the door eversince I entered into the hospital.  What illness are you suffering from?”
He walked towards my bed.

I was slightly taken back...
This guy..was blunt..
Or.. did he mean to laugh at me...?

“Can’t you see for yourself? I’m blind.”

“Ah..I couldn’t tell.  You have beautiful eyes.”
He was standing in front of me... I could feel his breath...

For no reason... I was angry at his words...
He sounded ernest...
Like he telling the truth...
But I knew the truth...
No one would tell a blind man he had beautiful eyes...
It only adds to his sadness...

“Get out.”

“Hey, I’m sorry if I said the wrong thing okay?”

“Get out!”
I raised my voice.

“I..”

“GET OUT!”
I felt around for the button to summon the nurses.

“Alright.  I leave...”

The door closed after him...

This guy... somehow.. aroused the feelings I suppressed...
Tears fell freely from my unseeing eyes...
I buried my head in my lap as I wept my heart out...
