Karli
Karli was the last cat we aquired. Her mother was abandoned by the owner with all of her new-born kittens. One of my sister's friends, Andy, and her family took the Mama cat and her babies into their home. The problem was that they already had a few cats and couldn't handle another half dozen or so. So, they sent an email out to friends and family to see if anyone would like to have one of the little cuties. I had been talking to my sister about Ben and I considering whether or not to get another cat. She told me about the email, so I contacted Andy to find out if they had any girls. They did, and so they brought over Karli so we could get a look at her. Of course we imediately fell in love with her. When it came down to naming her, it was easy. Karli means "covered with snow" and she looks like a little tabby cat burried in snow. Karli is the lap-cat I always wanted. She will curl up in one of our laps and stay there for hours. She climbs up my pant legs just so I can hold her. We actually don't know when her exact birthdate is, but we decided that August 11, 2000 is about right.
