| Johnny was the first pet we got. We got him from the Humane Society. Johnny was born on April 30, 1999. He was about 7 months old when we first got him. I picked him out because right when I picked him up, he started purring and didn't want me to put him down. Johnny was originally called Querque because he had a twin brother named Alby. Yeah, yeah.. cute but disgusting. So we knew we had to changed that name as soon as possible. Johnny needed special attention because he had an eye infection when we first got him. It made him look like he was crying. That's where I thought up his name. I was thinking of the movie "Cry Baby" with Johnny Depp, who had a tatooed tear on his cheek. So, I named him Johnny after Johnny Depp. When we got Johnny home, he was so nervous that he hid behind the fridge. He came out after a while, and turned out to be the most affectionate and vocally expressive cat we've ever met. |
