The Borg formerly known by the designation "Seven of Nine" has been disconnected from the Borg collective mind through the neutralization of the upper-spinal column neurotransceiver. In total, I have extracted eighty-two percent of her Borg hardware implants. The remaining bio-implants have been stabilized and remain critical to her life support. I have also stimulated her human metabolism and immune system, though the Borg Nanobots in her bloodstream will more than suffice until she has stabilized. Hair follicles have been repaired and stimulated. Left eyepiece has been replaced by an artificial organ replacement, simulating her own organic eye.
Her name was Annika Hanson before she was assimilated by the Borg collective as a child. Voyager freed her from the Borg collective when they made a temporary alliance with the Borg to fight species 8472. She was assigned to Voyager as a Borg representative. She is not happy about the separation from the hive mind at first, but she soon learns that the individuality and freedom offered on Voyager are better than being a mindless slave to the collective. It is interesting and often amusing to follow her as she strives to regain her humanity. She is stationed in the Astrometics lab and is a skilled and able member if the crew. Seven has a small part of the Borg implants left in her body because the doctor was not able to remove it all. The doctor gives her social lessons to improve her individuality and social skills. She and the doctor are good friends and they share a musical interest.
