The Borg collective
Are a vast collective of humanoids that has cybernetic implants that control their minds and connect all the drones to each other in the hive and purges individual thoughts. They seek perfection by assimilating any humanoid that has relevant biological or technological features of interests. They cannot grow in numbers by procreation, which means that they are forced to assimilate other species in order to expand the collective. The Borg is a powerful enemy because of the hive. The Borg queen controls all the drones and they have no way to refuse or have an alternative view.
