| Is a Date, I will always remember. It was the day New Orleans died. On that day the lives of myself and thousands of citizens of New Orleans changed forever. I never imagined my home, and city would be destroyed. I never conceived I would wonder if my family members were alive, dead, or lost. But today this is the reality I and many former residences of New Orleans live with......... |

| I carry the sweet memories of New Orleans in my heart, mind, and soul. Times with Familiy, Friends, Loved Ones, and the Beauty and Magical presence of the City. The wonderful music, parades, celebrations, and the food. I can still taste the delicious food of New Orleans. Gumbo, red beans with rice, muffalatas, poboys, ettoufe', stuffed peppers, pain perdue, fresh fruits and vegetables from the market, and Pralines! | |||||||||||||||||
| Pralines! | |||||||||||||||||
| Pralines have got to be my all time favorite. They don't sell them where I was forced to move. What is a Praline? It's a creamy carmel peanut brittle, with peacans instead of peanuts. I first tried A Praline when I was a child, and I've been hooked ever since. My Aunt taught me how to make Pralines. She had a candy business and sold Pralines to people the world over. When I make Praline I relive the wonderful memories of New Orleans. The taste of a Praline feels like home. | |||||||||||||||||
| I would like to share a piece of my home with you. When you try a Praline, you will know what it means to miss New Orleans. | |||||||||||||||||
| Thanks for reading these words. God Bless You. |
