Established 1902 in Gomez. Four acre tract was deeded to Gomez School Trustees in 1906 by Pioneer Settler H. F. Adams. Some of the earliest settlers buried here. Many graves were moved to Brownfield in 1918.To get to Gomez Cemetery from Brownfield take US Highway 82 and Texas 380 4.5 miles west. Turn left on dirt road 0.3 miles south; cemetery is on the right side of the road. Gomez Cemetery had 12 unmarked graves.
