"Exchanging brilliance for serenity" Qall
Children

Qall children bring a whole new meaning to the expression,
"growing pains". As they emerge from their mother's remains,
they appear slightly shapeless, their limbs not yet fully
formed. During the first two years of their lives, they grow
rapidly until their skin secretes a fluid that hardens around
them, encasing them for six months. At three years old,
they emerge fully formed and with an innate ability to
understand the world around them-from the emotions of
their loved ones to complicated political situations. This
makes them ideal assistants to the ruling class, and excellent
counselors for those closest to them.

At the age of ten years, Qall enter puberty, which includes
a process similar to that which they entered at two years old.
The skin begins to dry and flake off, until it hardens with
another secretion to form a chrysalis around them, where
they remain for eighteen months to two years. When ready,
they are removed from the shell, having lost all their childhood
abilities and most of their memories. The rest of their teen
years are spent attempting to recover what knowledge they
lost and finishing their education toward their chosen careers
(which was selected before they entered their transformation).

Rencha'lari Illarsi
Currently first in line to take the throne of Qall from
Eldocot, Illarsi was seemingly born to rule. With a slightly imperious nature and a presence that belies her larger-
than-life persona, she is the perfect candidate for rulership.
Despite all of her ambition, however, she would much
rather find a place amongst the people of Lotaria and
study their culture.
Rencha'laro Illarso
Missing his right to rule by a mere fifteen minutes, Illarso
is far tamer than his twin sister Illarsi. Something of a
pushover with a reputation for manipulating with guilt,
Illarso hopes that Eldocot's reign will outlast their youth,
so that he will never have to decide between him and
Illarsi.
Argot
A representative in training, Argot is sweet natured and
intelligent, with plenty of spunk to go around. Qoret,
her mentor, has been heard to say there has never been
a finer young woman to prepare for the role. However,
Argot's true desire was to join the Merchants' Guild and
pilot her own ship.
Mika
At five years old, Mika exudes peace and understanding.
Waiting for a world leader to select her to live in their
household, she is sure to bring serenity, tolerance, and
balance to the lives of everyone she meets.
