Math with Ms. Kolkmeier

Math in Everyday Life

This week we will be studying the way in which we use our basic mathematical skills in our everyday life.  Such examples include when visiting the bookstore to buy pencils, notebooks, etc., and also when we use the clock to figure out how long we need to do a project, or what time we need to be somewhere.

By the end of this week, all students will be secure in their abilities to use these basic mathematical processes for any situation in life, whether it is going to the bookstore, or finding the time on a clock.  Students should also be able to find other uses of addition, subtraction, etc. in their lives as well.
