| The Pentacle is usually a flat piece of metal, wood or other practical material, which is inscribed with certain symbols words or sigils. The only symbol that needs to be on it is the pentagram any others are optional. The pentacle came from ceremonial magick and has been used in magick and ritual for thousands of years. The pentacle can be used to envoke entities and protection, to draw material gain like money and can be used to consecrate objects. The five points of the star stand for the five elements, earth, air, fire, water and spirit and the circle stands for the endless cycle of nature and of life. The pentacle is feminine in nature and is associated with the Goddess. The pentacle is a tool of the north and is associated with the element of earth. |
